Archive Search/Doesn't play music

http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/amarok/ has no search box. How are people
searching to see if their problems' solutions are there somewhere?

Mine is:

failed to connect: connection refused
could not initialize supporting library

Songs "finish" as soon as started. No sound ever comes out.

The only Google hit I got was

I use openSUSE 11.0, KDE 3.5.9, amarok-1.4.10-104.pm.105.7 & matching
amarok-yauap. Configure Engine shows GStreamer/Yauap engine. RPM query shows
gstreamer, ...lang, ...plugins (4 total), &
libgstreamer-0_10-0-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3. What do I need to do to make
Amarok work?
