Organizing files

Amarok should already save this in preferences, but only after successfully moving tracks with the collection.

1) Select some tracks to Organize, select the organize option
2) Adjust the format to your preference
3) Organize some files
4) Select some more tracks.. open the organize dialog again.
5) Your previous format should still be there..

Is this not how it works for you?
