That is what I thought he said too. And yes, ridiculous. iTunes doesn't cost anything on that platform and is installed by default.

I am all for improving amarok on OS X. But I doubt seriously that amarok could make any money from just being superior to iTunes. Amarok is better off trying to make money off of the services features (that are very good in Amarok and cross-platform). Now if amarok could get into the offering iTunes Music Store, that might make money. We all know that isn't going to happen.

If money is a serious issue, find a way to make it w/out annoying the user. Google adwords comes to mind.
