This sidebar has already been completely scrapped for 2.2 in favor of
a Dolphin-like breadcrumb based navigation system.

You might want to check what's in trunk at the moment, to be released
in version 2.2. 2. and 3. look like bugs to me but one of our devs has
been working hard on the context view recently so they may already be
fixed in trunk. If this is not the case, feel free to send us your
patches.
