OK, I guess I understand that.  By big problem is that Amarok provides the
ability to modify the file names to comply with FAT?? limitations and can
create directories based on user preferences.  This is great - except that
the playlist I saved on my home dir bears little resemblance to the
filenames on the device.

Is there any way to create a text file of the file names as they are
transferred to the device?  That would make it trivial to create a bash
script to generate the playlist itself.
