Amarok stopping playback seemingly "at random"?

Yes, that is what I am seeing: pause playback, then can't restart.

I could have sworn I already tried bypassing pulseaudio without
resolving this, but I'll try to reproduce it again when I get back from
the trip I am currently on. It's important to know.
