Beta 3 crash on startup

Running kubuntu hardy with kde 4.1.  Had to install from sources myself,
since apparently no new amarok packages are being released for Hardy now
that Intrepid's out (dissapointing on its own, intrepid doesn't work for me
for a multitude of reasons).  It looks to have something to failing to
initialize the mysql connection (I installed libmysqlclient15-dev, I thought
that was the right one?  And I thought the move to mysql embedded meant that
it should work without any configuration on my part?)  At any rate, even if
the problem is with the mysql connection something is causing it to crash in
this case rather than gracefully handle the error. Here's the backtrace I
get, any ideas?
