The bugday is about sorting old bug, closing them, adjusting their
priority, moving them to the right project and so on. Not necessarily
about fixing them on that day.
And as Mark already commented on that bugreport we are not spending a
lot of time on 1.4.x as we _really_ have to get 2.0 ready for release.
I know that sucks for you but that's the way it is :(  If someone
provides a patch we will of course consider adding it, provided it
does not carry a high risk of regression. (We cannot make sure it gets
enough testing.)
