Problems with MySQL collection in Amarok

I use Arch and the problem is not with amarok, but with mysql. I have noticed that it doesn't always start on boot, so see if doing

"/etc/rc.d/mysqld start"

Before running amarok helps.

Subject: Problems with MySQL collection in Amarok

Hello,

I have Amarok 1.4.9.1 in Arch Linux and want to use a MySQL database for
my collection.

For such I have followed the "MySQL howto" in the Amarok wiki, it works,
but if I close Amarok and open it again, or reboot my system, my
collection vanishes (i.e. Amarok says I have 0 tracks) and I have to
tell it to rebuild my collection again.

How can I fix that? I've tried wiping all traces of MySQL from my system
and reinstalling it, but this doesn't help at all. I have used Amarok +
MySQL in the past with success...

Thanks...
