I think I encountered the same bug: Once amarok is sent to systray and 
then restored (window recreated) it will have some arbitrary size, 
independent of how large it was before it got iconized. This is 
especially visible when you had the window maximized.

I think it's solved in svn, at least I don't see that problem any more 
and my kde libs didn't change in the meantime. (Sorry, I can't name 
revision numbers here..)
