Hi,

I feel as is a feature between postponed to 2.0.  1.4 is really in bugfix-only 
mode right now and new features are destined for 2.0.

At this point porting it is probably not that simple as the playlist is in a 
state of reconstruction, but I think that random albums/artists is a feature 
planned for 2.0 already.
