Hey Jeff,

Hard to say if the problem is Amarok or iTunes incompatibility issues...
Could be:
- a weird format of image that iTunes was fine with
- iTunes did something weird to the image on saving to the file
- could be an older version of iTunes that caused the issue
- amarok doesn't like that format of file
- amarok does something weird to alter the embedded image on save
