I know amarok is not a video player, but it IS the best thing since
sliced bread for managing an iPod, and as far as I know the ONLY ipod
manager that does podcasts.
Does anyone else use amarok for video podcasts? Reason I ask is that
when I load a video as a podcast, it is REALLY slow, even when the
file is local. If I copy the same video file directly to the iPod,
it's really fast.
I've filed a bug report and tried (to no avail) to diagnose the
problem myself. I'd really like to find out if anybody else can
reproduce this problem. So - anybody else have a video ipod that can
test this out? I can even send you an mp4 and xml file that you can
load up as a "local" podcast to test.

I notice it especially because I am using MythTV to record TV shows
and generate podcasts of them. When the filesizes are 200mb, you
really notice when it takes 12 hours to sync, but copying the files
directly would have taken 12 minutes.
