Problem with media device in Amarok

Running 10.3 with KDE 3.5.8 release 21.2 and Amarok 1.4.7-111.pm.7 i586 I find 
that I cannot, as I could before, add other formats (ogg, flac, wav for 
example) to the list of formats I can add to be transferred to my iAUDIO 
player.  In the dialogue box if I try to enter say ogg it appears as "&ogg" 
and does not retain the setting.  The device is recognised in all other 
respects and I have always to configure this feature in previous versions of 
SUSE/KDE/Amarok.  It also works in Slackware 12.0.

Is this a known problem ?
