Amarok scan collection _really_ memory hungry?

open file properties on them in konqueror. open 'meta info' tab.
is that reasonably fast ?

as i wrote, taglib scans whole file, if it can not find anything 
interesting at the start. this takes a lot of time.
unfortunately, he behaviour won't be changed...
