Oxygen Icons

Hey Christian,
As you mentioned the challenge is that Amarok uses many specific icons that
would need to be created above and beyond the default media icons that will
be available. That is not to say that the Oxygen team will not take the time
to create all of the icons that Amarok requires sometime in the future.
However if you consider the shear amount of icons that the Oxygen team is
responsible for creating just to have a complete icon set you will
understand why it may take a while to create icons for specific apps.
Theobroma has been in direct contact with the Oxygen team and we will
happily work with them anytime to improve the Amarok icon set. Even if it
means compromising on any number of icons.
The solution we came up with is for the Amarok artist team to create icons
that compliment Oxygen. We are very close to making a new icon set available
that has been recolored and touched up to do just that. We wanted to include
it with the latest Amarok release. Due to a series of unfortunate events
(which L emony Snicket had nothing to do with) we were not able to deliver
the icons in time. There will be a download available from the forum soon
that will include the newish icons. After they have thoroughly been put
through the critical eyes of the developers and are given a passing grade
they will be included in a future release.
It is also important to add that as an Amarok artist I have resolved to make
sure the developers of Amarok are satisfied with the artwork/icons that we
produce above all else. It is their creation after all. So while we would
happily compromise on any number of icons if it does not make sense to or if
the developers of Amarok do not want the change out certain icons for what
ever reason we will respect that. Further more we will stand by our
commitment to Amarok developers satisfaction with the artwork no matter how
harsh criticism may be if any. ;)
