amarok to file.wav

Hey Group;

Amarok is a great application.  I would gur\ess it is the most used 
software on this machine.  Question - I wish to record some of the music 
or spoken articles to a file.wav or ogg.  Amarok piped to kmix offers a 
"Record" button but it fails to record to a file.  Amarok 1.4.5 and 
others from what I find will not record to a file also.

Have I just missed a audio "Record" button?
