[SOLVED] How to gain performance through MySQL

Hello,

After hours of browsing different logs, I solved my problem.
It was kernel-related.

My system was configured for "low-low-latency-scheduling" =)
(Preemptible Kernel / 1000HZ).

I changed the kernel-configuration to
  Processor type and features >
    Preemption Model >
         Voluntary Kernel Preemption
and
    Timer frequency >
         300 HZ
and now mysql is running without peaks and amarok isn't freezing any more.

Perhaps someone should put this hint into your faq under troubleshooting, 
because there are many people running jack or something else, which needs the 
kernel to be configured with very low latency.
