Hey guys

First I want to congratulate you for the great work you're doing with
Amarok. It is simply the best music player ever.

I have an idea for an Amarok plugin, I think you'll like it.
A friend of mine (who doesn't use linux) was searching on my music
collection, looking for new bands he might like. He wanted to preview them
but because there was no such thing on Amarok, he just skipped songs really
fast without paying much attention to the music but only first impressions.
It also required that he would be glued to the screen working through all
those thousands of songs.
I think that by having a "Preview Songs" sort of a mode in Amarok could
help with this. It could make Amarok better off, because people would
notice that it can do many things almost by itself. I suggested this on irc
and people there liked it. But I have no idea as to how to do it.
It could be a selectable button for "preview playlist" or you could have a
"preview queue" where bands and things you want others to check out could
be sent there for preview versions (the preview time being configurable),
like what is done for transfers to media devices in Amarok 1.4 for example.
But in all these things I think that Amarok developers are great.
