I don't mean to put words in your mouth, but perhaps you meant
ccMixter.org?  ccMixter.com is a domain squatter/spammer.

Otherwise I think your POV on this is wise and in harmony with the
overall concept of openness.

I would hope that Amarok can expand to take advantage of other
opportunities like the built-in Magnatune functionality, but at the same
time do it in such a way that benefits the end user.  No DRM, preferably
no watermarking, no *scumbag* business tactics that treat Amarok users
like common criminals.

Hmmm I think I'll go buy another Magnatune album through Amarok now.
;-)  I think The Strapons will do nicely.
