Cover Auto-Download?

No, it doesn't ;-)

Either the cover is located in the folder where the file is placed, or the 
cover is embedded in the file it self.

In both cases Amarok will recognize the cover and use it, though it never 
downloads covers on its own (...actually it does, but this is a usability 
feature, because amazon license tells to delete the covers after [i think] 90 
days, when amarok did this it automatically refetches them so the user 
doesn't have to do this).
