I'm currently working on foreporting the amarok-helix-helper workaround
from SUSE towards amarok 1.4.4 (it was made for 1.3.x).

The trick is pretty simple: it's just an executable
(amarok-helix-helper) that acts as a proxy between the Helix engine
class and the 32bit helix binary.

If I find enough time to make it work (seems I'm not far away from it
atm), I can send a mail to the list with the relevant information
(source+patches). Or contact me directly.

cheers
