Frankly I don't think that's a good idea. Technical overkill, and unneeded. 
Who cares about audio bandwidth these days? Also it's relatively unlikely 
that the user has a large percentage of the songs locally. I would estimate 
an average of 5%. 

Last not least it's impossible to say if a song is identical, just by looking 
at its filename or metadata. More often than not, the name will be slightly 
different.
