To whomever has access to the server, could you set
        $wgUseImageMagick = false;
in the MediaWiki LocalSettings.php file?  It should (hopefully) fix the
libgomp issue on the wiki (see http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Special:NewFiles,
for example) according to
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Support_desk/Archives/Images/002#Cannot_allocate_memory_error_while_displaying_thumbnails_of_larger_images
.
