In that context: I reverted your duplicate marking, as I kept this
deliberately as two wishes, see my comment on that. How about reading
my comments before marking wishes as dupes? There is a dependecy
linking both wishes.

Agreed.

That is already planned.

Which makes not much sense, as Amarok doesn't USE gstreamer, it uses
Phonon and the backend that comes with, be this gstreamer or vlc.
We already depend on ffmpeg for different reasons, so I wonder what
exact functions you want to see implemented there.
