Volume dial contrast

Hi all,
when looking at the new toolbar and playing with the volume dial a bit, I 
noticed that especially in dark color schemes, the blue rim indicating the 
current volume is hardly visible at all (see attached screenshot). With only 
the changing volume icon as the only really visible indicator for the current 
volume. it is hard to set it precisely.
Could it be made a little thicker to improve visibility?
