SoK: working on ipod support

Hello

I apologize for delaying. Actually, I have been trying to upload code for
about a week; but I am behind a proxy and I was not able to access my own
repository at gitorious. Finally, I had to use corkscrew to connect. Today,
I have made an initial commit for review. I would like feedback and approval
on this. After that, I shall upload the rest of the code I have written so
far.
