I've got a bunch of things that I feel really need to get fixed for
2.3.2. I was planning on putting them on my proposed Roadmap, but I
haven't had a chance to type that all up yet.

Anyways, here are the things I think must/should be fixed for 2.3.2 --
some probably trivial, some less so. Not in any particular order:

1) When viewing the SQL collection browser and the SQL collection is
empty, show text and a link about adding folders. This was a 1.4 item
and I've now heard a good number of complaints that when presented with
A2 as a new user it's not at all obvious as to what you're supposed to
do. In the long term this means bringing in the long-desired First Run
Tutorial -- perhaps -- but in the short term we can put in a fix that
gets us 98% there.

2) XSPF playlists don't display tracks if the sqltrack UID isn't found.
Instead it should display the tracks but simply gray those items out to
mark them as not found. This way the user can fix it, and still play the
tracks that are found.

3) Dynamic collection. Something's broken, it's a regression, and it
needs to be fixed.

4) Volume slider -- lots and lots of complaints about it. The general
feedback is that we should:

4a) Remove the ability to click anywhere around the button and instantly
change the volume to that value. People report accidentally clicking and
getting their eardrums blasted.

4b) Remove the circular-style dragging. On a click+press, show the
volume OSD and have dragging left/right adjust the volume lower/higher.
Perhaps remove the circular bar altogether and simply display the
percentage.

5) Fix the collection browser model and/or view getting out of sync on
collection changes. I've talked to Max about this and he hasn't seen it,
but I know some easy ways to reproduce it and we have a ton of
duplicates about it, plus lots of non-Bugzilla reports (
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172542 ). Max asked me to try
putting in
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdelibs/kdeui/tests/proxymodeltestsuite/
and see if the models look sane, but I haven't had time yet.

Highest personal priorities are 3 and 5. 2 is probably something for
Bart. 1 I'm not sure who would be best to look at that. We could pretty
easily overlay the CB with a QGV if the collection is sqlcollection and
has zero tracks, allowing us to put on whatever widgets/links/text we
want, so if someone wants to tackle that, great. Not sure who might be
best for #4.
