Testing needed for Layout fixes

Ok, maybe it's that. But just for comparison:

On my computer, there is only a very small lag (maybe 500ms max). The
size of the layout file is similar too (~300 bytes), and the CPU's are
fairly similar in performance. So I still don't get where there
difference comes from...
