Toggling Unified View Mode causes crashes galore...

Hi all,

since we still have an open bug when toggling Unified Mode View, I
strongly suggest we remove this item for 2.2.1 if it is not fixed till
then. As you can see in this bug report, we have multiple crash
reports related to it, so I would really like to have this fixed for
the next release:

Since we are tagging next Monday, this gets somewhat urgent now...
