GSoC Report: Week of Mon 6 July

Nothing to report, except that the lack of internet prevented me from
posting a report the other day.  It seems the early part of Akademy
and work progress don't go hand in hand.

Fixed the blatant issues with the rushed commit of the refactor, such
as exposing some of the API.  Today's the eV meeting, so I may at last
have some time to sit around and hack, and I convinced the hotel
people to reset their router which is why I'm typing to you today =)
