Now now, they're not arbitrary.  They're the Winamp keyboard shortcuts  :-)

(And from a time when multimedia keyboard handling was a laughable concept.)

I think this is actually quite a decent idea, but like Leo, I'd prefer
it if we can have both. (And can't we?  Can't we have a primary and
alternate?)
