Compilation patches

Hi Michael,
You've recently posted a few patches on a bug
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172953) dealing with various
artists. I'd simply like to bring this to the attention of the
developer group and discuss the correct way to detect for a
compilation during a collection scan.

Both yourself and Max have raised a few concerns about the
modifications I made to your patch, and I'd like to get a (brief)
discussion going in a non-separated arena. What were the problems you
had with the patch?
