I had a quick glance at the german versino of danimo's book: seemed to be a
little more in-depth than the 1st edition of the official book. My impression
of the official book was that it is mostly an overview of the most important
Qt concepts. But you won't find neat tricks and such. In general, I liked
danimo's book better, but it is based on an older version of Qt than the new
official one.

We have still another Qt book here:
http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Design-Patterns-Perens-Source/dp/0131879057/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200930074&sr=8-1
This one uses Qt to teach some basic design patterns. A nice introduction to
object oriented programming techniques.
