[akademy-participant] KDE on Windows

Up to now I haven't given much thought to the fact, but now I realise that 
soon I will be getting questions relating to KDE apps on Windows.  This 
morning I've subscribed to the ML so that I can learn as I go, and after 
Akademy I'll try out the installation instructions from techbase.

Meanwhile, could someone from the team spare me a few minutes to get me off to 
a flying start?  I'd like a quick briefing on where the project is right now 
and the issues at present.

I won't take up too much of your time, but I'll gladly attend any time and 
place you suggest.  I have BoF's most of this afternoon, but at the moment I 
have no commitments for tomorrow morning (Thursday) or Friday morning.
