PageRow and Kontact Touch Mail

The future layout of KT Mail will likely rely on PageRow with the "allow
last column to be bigger" feature.
This feature will not be released until august (kde 4.11 release). I will
likely need it a bit sooner for my GSoC project.
Would it be possible to patch our current  kde-runtime package in mer to
contain this feature or is there a better way?
How can I help with this?

I think I found a bug in the current PageRow from master.  It also effects
bodega-client.
