(non)pixel based margins in kmail-mobile

Hi,

my mentor and I would like to get a second opinion from a plasma developer
regarding pixel based margins in plasma active applications. The question
emerged from https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/112013/ but is obviously a
general problem that needs to be solved the same way throughout the entire
application.

Should I use a fixed pixel size for the margins/spacing or should I use
something relational to the font size?
If so, is "theme.defaultFont.mSize.width" the right thing to use in this
case?
