Bug ID: 303977
Severity: wishlist
Version: unspecified
Priority: NOR
Assignee: active at kde.org
Summary: Add rotate function to image viewer
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: colomar at autistici.org
Hardware: Meego/Harmattan
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: Applications
Product: Active
The image viewer could really use a function to rotate images.
Being able to save the rotated picture might be nice, but is not necessary.
Rotating the view would be enough.
Of course the device can be rotated, but then the image still does not make
optimal use of the screen.
If possible, this should be done with a rotating gesture with two fingers.
Buttons should be used as an alternative on non-multitouch-devices.
An alternative solution could be to automatically display images so that they
make optimal use of the screen space (i.e. align the long edge of the image to
the long edge of the screen). This would save users the effort of having to
manually rotate images.
Reproducible: Always
