locker effect in KDE/4.7 for Active

Hi all,
in the branch active-development/screenlocker there is a (quite gross, some 
folders got just copied) merge of the screen locker effect to KDE/4.7 

this is something quite important for the first release of Plasma Active in 
October, that will depend from the KDE/4.7 branch of kde-workspace.
however this is both not so clean and a really big feature to be really merged 
in 4.7, so i don't know if is an option,
others could be to package active-development/screenlocker (but we wanted to 
get away from branches) or just ship a mannoth diff in the rpm spec (260k ;)

even if sound quite heavy i would be for the third option...

ideas? opinions?
