1. offtopic, but not really...
is someone working on handwriting recognition? Could someone just
"sign in" to unlock?

2. How about Martin's original idea...using more QML goodness and more fun?

Present keypad like this centered on the screen
 1-2-3
 4-5-6
 7-8-9

and alternate randomly with other layouts or leave the same layout but
change the size and location
