I don't think they're scared, because they don't know _anything_ about
Plasma
Active. The article itself only talks about the plans and background and
not
about the product itself (seems to me that Vaughan-Nichols wrote the
article
before he had the chance to actually try it out, so he did not go into
details
about the actual experience).
So they just commented on something they didn't know, and they inferred
stuff from other things they know.
We'll have to wait and see how users react after they actually have tried
it out.

But, brace yourself: There _will_ be users complaining after they have
tried it.
They will complain about how long it takes until the resources are
displayed
after bootup, the Konsole lovers will complain about the keyboard not
having
arrow or ctrl keys, die-hard fans of a particular application will
complain because
their loved app isn't available.
This happened with KDE 4.0, Amarok 2.0, KOffice 2.0, KMail 2 and it will
happen
with PA1. It's normal.
What's interesting is how many people there will be who like PA1 for what
it is
and are excited about what will come up next.
Reading the geeky part of the web during the next few weeks is gonna be a
*ride* ;)
