i like the idea, particularly as it would also give us a place to address
another set of issues: bandwidth control. this is pretty important on a mobile
device, so an integrated downloader would be great.
as a further eventual step, i think it would be very nice to see such a thing
integrated with KIO so that working with the download manager would be a
simple matter of passing a flag to the job and it would magically handle the
rest. perhaps even a specialized KIO-derived job could be used for that.
am i to understand from your email that you are wanting to work on this?
