comment on the mockup: will the user understand what a "resource" is? would it
be clearer (and shorter, tidier, etc) to just have "(+) Add"?

most every person i've explained the contour concept to does not understand
what a "resource" is without a fair amount of explanation, which leads me to
believe that the word "resource" should not appear in the UI.
