Actually, that's a bit more involved. A donation is only a donation if there's 
no purpose attached to it (other than the mission of the receiving 
organisation). Earmarking donations might work, we (KDE e.V. board are in fact 
researching this for a separate purpose).

Rules around donations are pretty strict, especially since KDE e.V. has a not-
for-profit status and related tax exemption benefits.
