Hey all,
After a lot of code crunch in the past week, we've now fully updated packages
again. There are many interesting, user-visible changes in there:
- top panel: dragging is smoother
- activity switching is much faster (-2 sec!)
- kwin performance improvements
- kwin GLES packages (from master, in KDE:Active:Devel)
- keyboard: now works with konsole
- keyboard: performance improvements, feels snappier
- keyboard: double tapping on shift / 123 locks keys now
- activity configuration: adding apps
- webbrowser: shares cookies, remembers passwords
- webbrowser: has basic history now
- webbrowser: opening in new window fixed
- webbrowser: URL bar completion bar (bookmarks + history)
- webbrowser: now supports flash (youtube!)
- forgetting wallpaper fixed
- constant CPU consumption is mostly gone (battery++)
- improved layout of lock screen
If you're using the Balsam packages from OBS' KDE:Active repository, you can
zypper dup and should get the new goodness. On update, you'll lose your
Contour widget configuration, also removing kwinrc and kcminputrc from your
~/.kde4/share/config is a good idea in order to get some new default settings
that make your life easier.
There's also some renaming of files in there, but that should be transparant
to the users. If you find regressions, please let us know.
Cheers,
