Cannot help you there because I have never encountered this issue and I 
regularly re-install kwebkit part...

I myself have run into the problem that causes this issue. Check if you have 
the following configuration file:

$KDEHOME/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/webbrowsing

and if it is there, remove it.  To understand why read, you can read the
