When I open firefox the screen will flicker black for a second as though it has
been turned on and off very quickly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In settings/Startup and shutdown/Behaviour select plasma wayland 
2. Restart computer
3. Open firefox

OBSERVED RESULT
The whole screen goes black for a second before firefox opens

EXPECTED RESULT
In X11, the screen does not go black

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Latest KDE neon user 5.24.0
