no special configs here either.

running:
Operating System: KDE neon 5.24
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.13.0-39-generic (64-bit)

VLC, MPV and Firefox reads fine from SMB remote share with either audio (mp3)
or video (webm).

SMPlayer (with mpv backend) and Elisa, however, do not. 
(That leads me to think it's a program-specific bug and not Plasma related)
