SUMMARY
On starting application, icon bounces and entry appears on task bar, which is
fine. However then they vanish leaving no trace and there is a pause before the
application actually starts.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Search the application launcher for Firefox (this is the one where the delay
appears most pronounced, though it does also happen for other applications)
2. Start Firefox.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Firefox icon bounces around ten times at mouse location, and Firefox entry
appears on task bar. Both vanish at the same time. There is a long pause, and
then Firefox reappears. The length of the pause varies depending on which
application is being started. This may be intentional, but it looks more like a
bug.

EXPECTED RESULT
Task bar entry and possibly also bouncing icon stay as is until the application
actually starts.
