the workaround in comment 2 lasted little and I'm again for a while
unable to write caracters like é and ~, that I use in my daily basis.

I'm currently living in:

Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo linux / Plasma-desktop-5.19.3
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.71.0
Qt Version: 5.14.2
